Bye bye are the days of…"Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now?" Now that we have the new VTech Cordless answering system with Caller ID and Call Waiting, we can hear the caller on the other end crystal clear. No static, no interference…just crisp, clear reception.

There are days, especially those when I get my cell phone bill, that I long for a landline. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. There are so many benefits to having a landline telephone system like the VTech Dual Handset Cordless Answering System. Lately, the most important of these is the fact that my teen loses his phone constantly and I need to keep in touch with him when he’s home and I’m not.
I like the VTech system because it has a speakerphone for conference calls and both ends can speak at the same time – no more cutting each other off. Also, two words – Caller ID. A must have. Having Call Waiting is nice, especially since it displays the name, number, time and date of incoming calls on an easy-to-read illuminated LCD display screen.

My favorite features about the VTech Dual Handset Cordless Answering System:
ECO-Power Mode, for saving power! I'm an energy conserving freak, it's just a pet peeve, I try to save it where I can.
Has a nice back-light display so it makes it is easy to read the screen .
Speakerphone, I'm a mom so anything hands-free is always a plus!
I have some sort of strange comfort having a house phone again, like an added security in case anything goes wrong with our cell phones, I know this seems ODD but I like the backup.
It's economical and it gets the job done. I originally had bought another brand, I was not happy with it, returned it and have been happy with my Vtech since.

For me the phone is perfect and I wouldn't change anything. I love than I can expand it when we need more phones and the features I use are included. You honestly can't beat the price of this phone especially since its from VTech, which is known for quality products! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new cordless phone. Additional handsets are only $15 and with the option to expand up to five, any household should really be covered!

With so much more than just the basics, the VTech Cordless Answering System with Caller ID & Call Waiting will surely fit nicely in anyone's home. Its sleek design is certainly an eye-catcher for everyone and its ability to conserve power and, therefore, cut back on energy costs is a huge bonus. Having just bought our new home and being on the fence with the to-get or not-to-get a home phone, the energy efficiency feature was definitely a big selling point for us with this particular phone.
Of course, there's also the aforementioned caller ID and call waiting. For us, caller ID is a huge bonus. Ever since getting my cell phone, I've always been the girl that (and I know I'm not along here) ignores just about any number that I do not know. Normally, I do this under the assumption that "if it's important, they'll leave a message." Now, with the VTech Cordless Answering System with Caller ID & Call Waiting, not only can I screen our calls and ignore those that I do not want to take, but I can also rest assured that if a call is, in fact, an important one, the phone's digital answering system will get it for me. With up to fourteen minutes of answering machine recording time, no important calls will ever, truly, be missed.

Speaker Phone — I admit I don't use them regularly but when I do I want the person on the other end to be able to hear me as well as myself. My children talk to my husband regularly on the phone, so I love that the kids and I can easily hear my husband and he too through this easy to use speakerphone. This is by far the best speaker phone we've tried!
I like the quiet mode button — so when it's ringing (and waking my sleepers,) I can quickly quiet it.
The ECO Mode Power, which manages the consumption for optimal battery performance. This is a must for us these days because we have a large house and with this one base you acn have up to 5 handsets — I love this feature but a lot of times phones get left around and do not get placed back on the base for a longer period of time. The ECO Mode helps conserve the battery life longer, so they can stay off the phone jack for a longer period of time.

We absolutely love VTech Cordless Answering System with Caller ID and Call Waiting. It has a Backlit Keypad and Display that is bright enough to see even in dim light. When we are not home the answering machine records our important messages and we can retrieve caller information with the Caller ID feature that records the callers name, number and the date and time so we never miss a call.

For the College Student: The CS6829 comes with everything a college student wants and needs. For example, a Digital Answering System to catch up on missed calls when they were studying. The Caller ID will ensure they catch all the calls from mom and Call Waiting lets them toggle between study dates and …mom. And of course a Speakerphone so they can take a call, even when their hands are full of books and calculators.
For Home: If you get jealous of the quality of your college students phone, you can buy one for home use too. It’s expandable to up to 5 handsets. Plus, it can handle all the people you want to know and call, with its 50 name and number phone directory and 50 name and number Caller ID history. (I know that comes in handy for me, since I rarely listen to messages!)

First, I love the black and silver colors. It looks great in my office. The handset is very light weight, and the numbers of the keyboard and screen are both large and clear to read. The back-lit display makes it easy to see even in the dark. I learned almost immediately that the battery has a long life even when it gets left on the charger--this is a bad habit my tween daughter has so its an important feature for me. The volume can be adjusted to the perfect level for each individual's preference. Another feature I love is the ability to turn off the ringer. When the babies are sleeping or I'm working on my novels I don't like to be interrupted by a ringing phone.
The answering system has lots of great benefits too. It stores up to fifty messages and you can replay them as many times as you need to. It also has a built it caller ID system so the name, number and time off the call are all listed on the handset. If you miss someone important, you will be able to go through missed calls and return them with just the click on a button. If you still use a land-line, the VTech CS6829 Cordless Answering System is a wonderful, affordable option.
