Christina Kim
Christina is one of a kind on the LPGA Tour, known for her lively personality and brightly colored clothes. This exuberance has made her one of the most recognized players on Tour and a favorite to watch. She was born and raised in San Jose, Calif. after her parents immigrated to the United States from Korea. Christina loves being home in San Jose when she is not traveling around playing in almost every LPGA tournament. When she is not on a golf course her hobbies include yoga, reading, writing and studying history.
Christina's father started teaching her, and her two older siblings, golf when Christina was 11. She has not stopped playing since. She dropped out of high school during her junior year to play tournaments full time and qualified for the Tour in 2002. She eventually received her degree and attended De Anza Community College in her spare time. Christina has had some impressive highlights in her short career. She has a recorded three holes-in-one, has finished in the top-10 15 different times, was at one time the youngest player in LPGA history to earn $1 million and has carded a season-low of 62 two different times.
