Marcy Hart
Marcy is a 6 foot tall North Carolina native with blonde hair, blue eyes and a passion for helping others. She attended the University of North Carolina to study Recreation and Leisure Studies Administration. Marcy and her husband Rob currently reside in Scottsdale, Ariz. with their Yorkshire terriers named Roy and Waverly. Marcy has set up the Marcy Hart Precision Golf School in North Carolina to give girls cost-conscious access to golf skills in the Greensboro and Winston-Salem areas. In her free-time Marcy is also putting on a charity golf tournament through the Marcy Hart Foundation to raise money for the Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test organization. The charity event will be held in Marcy's hometown of High Point, N.C. on July 2.
Marcy started playing golf at the age of 10 and credits her father with being the most influential person in her career. She qualified for the Tour on her first attempt in 2000 and played her rookie year in 2001. Marcy has had many highlights during her career, but her best year came in 2006. She had her best finish yet, tying for third at the Wegmans LPGA and carding a season-low 66 strokes in the third round. Also, in 2006, she recorded her second top-10 finish of the season tying for ninth at the HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship.
